Deepwater Gunashli produces 91.5 mln tons of oil to date
A total of 91.5 million tons of oil has been produced to date from the Deepwater Gunashli platform within the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block located in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea.
According to the information, 19.6 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced from the Deepwater Gunashli platform so far.
It was noted that 18 years have passed since the commissioning of the Deepwater Gunashli platform, which is the third phase of ACG development.
Recall that the ACG contract was initially signed on September 20, 1994. The first oil was produced from the Chirag field on November 7, 1997.
The share distribution in ACG is as follows: BP – 30.37% (operator), AzACG (SOCAR) – 31.65%, MOL – 9.57%, Inpex – 9.31%, ExxonMobil – 6.79%, TPAO – 5.73%, Itochu – 3.65%, and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) – 2.92%.
