ACG oil output falls as costs rise in first quarter, BP says
Average daily oil production at Azerbaijan’s Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block fell to 325,000 barrels per day in the first quarter of 2026 from 331,000 bpd a year earlier, BP Azerbaijan said.
Total output from ACG stood at 29 million barrels in January-March, down by 1 million barrels from the same period of 2025.
Associated gas deliveries from ACG to SOCAR’s Azerigaz system rose to 1 billion cubic metres from 0.9 billion cubic metres a year earlier.
Operating costs at ACG increased by $19 million to $134 million, while capital expenditure rose by $112 million to $363 million.
The number of producing wells rose to 149 from 145. The highest average daily output was recorded at the Central Azeri platform, at 89,800 bpd.
