Heavy rain expected in parts of Azerbaijan on May 6

Rain and thunderstorms are forecast in parts of Azerbaijan on May 6, with heavy downpours expected in some areas, the National Hydrometeorological Service said.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather will be partly cloudy, occasionally overcast and mostly dry. However, rain and thunderstorms are possible in some areas during the night and early morning. A moderate north-easterly wind is expected.

Temperatures in Baku are forecast at 11–14°C at night and 15–19°C during the day.

In other regions, intermittent rainfall is expected, with heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail in some places, while snowfall is possible in mountainous areas. Precipitation is expected to ease in most regions by the evening.

Temperatures across the country will range from 9–13°C at night and 15–20°C during the day, while in the mountains it will be 2–7°C at night and 8–13°C during the day.
