Warm weather expected in Baku on May 15, thunderstorms forecast in regions

Mostly dry and warm weather is expected in Baku and the Absheron peninsula on May 15, while thunderstorms and hail are possible in some regions of Azerbaijan, the National Hydrometeorological Service said on Wednesday.

Temperatures in Baku are forecast to reach 24-29 degrees Celsius during the day and 15-18 degrees at night. A moderate south-eastern wind is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will fall from 754 mm to 750 mm of mercury, while relative humidity will range between 65% and 75%.

In the regions, weather conditions are expected to remain largely dry, although intermittent rain is forecast in some areas from daytime hours.

Short-term heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail are possible in isolated areas. Fog is expected in some mountainous areas in the morning and evening, while western winds may strengthen at times.

Daytime temperatures in the regions are forecast at 25-30 degrees Celsius, while mountainous areas will see temperatures of 16-21 degrees, reaching up to 25 degrees in some places.
