Azerbaijan's ANAMA detects 57 more mines, 378 UXOs in liberated territories

A total of 32 anti-personnel mines, 25 anti-tank mines and 378 unexploded ordnance (UXO) items have been discovered in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said.

According to the agency, 1,266.9 hectares of land have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

ANAMA noted that 69,200 hectares of territory were cleared of mines and unexploded military ammunition in 2025.

Overall, nearly 249,000 hectares of land in the liberated territories have been demined since 2020.

The number of mine victims in Azerbaijan exceeds 3,400 people, including 359 children and 38 women.

Since the end of the Second Karabakh War alone, the number of mine victims has reached 382 people. Of them, 55 were killed, while 143 victims were civilians.
