BP to cease Baku-Supsa pipeline operatorship on June 8

BP will cease operatorship of the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline on June 8, with responsibility for the pipeline to be transferred to the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia, BP’s regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, Giovanni Cristofoli, said.

According to Cristofoli, the transfer is being carried out under existing contractual obligations.

“BP will cease operatorship of the Baku-Supsa pipeline on June 8 and it will be transferred to the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia,” he said.
