Azerbaijan establishes National Cybersecurity Agency
Azerbaijan has established a new specialized state institution in the field of cybersecurity, the National Cybersecurity Agency.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree.
Under the document, the public legal entity, the National Cybersecurity Agency, has been established on the basis of the Electronic Security Service.
Like the abolished Electronic Security Service, the new agency will operate under the authority of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
The decree also approved the Agency's charter, while its authorized capital will be formed using funds allocated in the current year's state budget for the former Electronic Security Service.
