Water reserves at Sarsang reservoir reach 320 mln cubic metres
Water reserves at Azerbaijan’s Sarsang reservoir have reached 320 million cubic metres.
The figure was announced by Ilham Guliyev, deputy chairman of the Regional Water Reclamation Service under the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, during a media tour for journalists.
According to Guliyev, the reservoir is continuing to accumulate water.
He said the dam at the Sarsang reservoir is 125 metres high, while the maximum water depth reaches 103 metres.
“The reservoir is located at an elevation of 528 metres above Baltic Sea level. The process of filling the reservoir is currently ongoing,” Guliyev said.
The Sarsang reservoir is one of Azerbaijan’s key water management facilities and plays an important role in supplying water resources to the region.
