Azerbaijan to cover up to 70% of exporters’ transport costs
Azerbaijan will compensate up to 70% of transport costs for non-oil exporters under a new state support mechanism aimed at boosting exports and improving access to foreign markets.
Under a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, the state will subsidise transport expenses for Azerbaijani non-oil goods depending on the type and value of products, destination country and mode of transport.
The support will cover 70% of cashless payments for shipments by rail, air, sea and Azerbaijani-registered road transport. For cargo transported by foreign-registered trucks, the compensation rate will be 50%.
The measure will also apply to goods produced in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and transported by road to other parts of Azerbaijan, with the state covering 70% of transport costs.
The new mechanism will take effect on Sept. 1, 2026.
