Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis has approved in the first reading a draft law on the execution of the country’s 2025 state budget.

The document provides for approval of the results of state budget execution and forms part of the annual parliamentary oversight procedure over public finance management.

The bill was previously reviewed by the parliamentary committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship before being submitted for discussion at a plenary session.

Following its approval in the first reading, the draft law will be considered by lawmakers in subsequent readings in line with legislative procedure.
