Azerbaijan’s GDP reaches nearly 52 bln manats in Jan-May
Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product (GDP) totaled 51.8 billion manats ($30.5 billion) in January-May 2026, remaining broadly unchanged from the same period a year earlier, according to the State Statistics Committee.
GDP in the oil and gas sector fell by 1% year-on-year to 16.1 billion manats, while non-oil GDP rose by 0.4% to 35.7 billion manats. The non-oil sector accounted for about 69% of total economic output during the reporting period.
Industrial output increased by 0.2% in the first five months of the year, while production in the non-oil industrial sector grew by 5.8%. Agricultural output rose by 2.3%, transport and storage services expanded by 6.8%, and information and communication services increased by 10.1%.
Retail trade turnover grew by 3.8% to 25.5 billion manats, while investment in fixed capital declined by 2.1% to 6.65 billion manats. (stat.gov.az)
