Azerbaijan fixed-capital investment falls 2.1%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan fell by 2.1% year-on-year in real terms to 6.65 billion manats ($3.91 billion) in January-May 2026, the State Statistics Committee said.

Investment in the oil and gas sector rose by 28.4% to 2.55 billion manats, while investment in the non-oil and gas sector fell by 14.7% to 4.1 billion manats.

Despite the decline, the non-oil and gas sector continued to account for the larger share of total capital investment.

Investment in the production sector increased by 16% to 3.96 billion manats, while investment in services dropped by 23.5% to 1.73 billion manats.

Investment in residential construction fell by 13.9% to 957.7 million manats.
