Fair weather expected in Baku, thunderstorms possible in mountain regions

Mostly dry weather with variable cloud cover is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula on Thursday, according to Azerbaijan’s National Hydrometeorological Service.

Northwesterly winds are expected to shift to southeasterly during the day. Temperatures will range from 19-22 degrees Celsius at night and 30-35 degrees during the daytime.

Atmospheric pressure will decrease from 763 mm to 759 mm of mercury, while relative humidity will be 70-75% at night and 40-50% during the day.

Across most regions of Azerbaijan, weather conditions are expected to remain largely dry. However, brief showers are possible in some mountainous and foothill areas during the second half of the day.

Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and hail are possible in isolated locations. Fog is expected in some areas overnight and in the early morning hours. Moderate westerly winds will prevail.

Temperatures in lowland areas will range from 19-22 degrees Celsius at night and 31-36 degrees during the day. In mountainous regions, temperatures will range from 10-15 degrees at night and 20-25 degrees during the day, rising to 27-30 degrees in some places.
