Azerbaijan inflation holds at 5.6% in January-May

Consumer prices in Azerbaijan rose 5.6% in January-May from the same period a year earlier, the State Statistics Committee said.

Food products, alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices increased by 6.7% year-on-year, while non-food goods rose by 3.7%. Prices for paid services increased by 5.7%.

Consumer prices in May were 5.6% higher than a year earlier and 0.1% above the level recorded in April.
