Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has added a new Airbus A320neo to its fleet, bringing the number of aircraft of this type operated by the carrier to four, the airline said on Monday.

According to AZAL, the aircraft features an Airspace cabin, an advanced in-flight entertainment system, high-speed Wi-Fi and individual monitors in business class.

The aircraft has a range of up to 6,300 km and offers lower fuel consumption and reduced carbon emissions compared with previous-generation models.

AZAL said the addition would improve operational efficiency, enhance passenger service and support the expansion of its route network.

The airline currently operates a fleet of 28 aircraft and plans to increase that number to 50 by 2032 under its fleet modernisation strategy.
