Azerbaijan developing legal framework for land consolidation
Azerbaijan is developing a legal framework for land consolidation as part of efforts to improve agricultural efficiency and land management.
The State Service for Property Issues said the relevant mechanisms are being considered within broader amendments to land legislation and the preparation of a new Land Code concept.
Land consolidation aims to combine fragmented plots, improve land use efficiency and create better conditions for agricultural development.
The issue is also reflected in state programmes aimed at developing agriculture and diversifying the economy.
Experts say the legal framework could help increase agricultural productivity, improve land management and encourage investment in the sector.
