Azerbaijan approves gas supply system rules

Azerbaijan approves gas supply system rules
23.06.2026 14:00

Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved new rules governing the country’s gas supply system, according to official documents.

The rules regulate procedures related to gas supply, including connections to gas networks, the issuance of technical specifications and the operation of electronic services. Until the relevant information systems become fully operational, some procedures will continue to be carried out directly or via post and email.

Procedures related to connecting construction projects to gas networks as part of the building permit process will be conducted electronically through the unified urban planning information system.

The new rules are part of the implementation of Azerbaijan’s gas supply law, which entered into force in 2026 and aims to reform the regulation of the gas sector.
