Iran says it has no plans to allow IAEA inspectors to nuclear sites

Iran says it has no plans to allow IAEA inspectors to nuclear sites
23.06.2026 18:00

Iran has no plans to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors to visit nuclear facilities damaged in U.S. and Israeli strikes, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.

Baghaei said Tehran had held no meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and had no plans to permit inspections of facilities affected by the military attacks.

The comments came a day after U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Iran had agreed to allow international inspectors to return as part of talks held in Switzerland.

Tehran said access to facilities whose inspections were suspended after the attacks would depend on the outcome of negotiations, while inspections at unaffected nuclear sites continue.
