TRNC parliament speaker arrives in Azerbaijan

Speaker of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ziya Ozturkler has arrived in Azerbaijan on a visit, official sources said.

Ozturkler is expected to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation taking place in Baku.

During the visit, he is expected to hold meetings with parliamentary leaders and officials from participating countries to discuss inter-parliamentary cooperation and regional issues.

The visit comes amid closer ties between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and growing political contacts between the two sides.
