Oil World forecasts largest sunflower crop in five years

Oil World has forecast the largest global sunflower harvest in five years for the 2026/27 season.

The consultancy said sunflower production is expected to increase due to larger planted areas and favourable weather conditions in major producing countries.

Higher output could boost global sunflower oil supplies and put pressure on prices.

Analysts expect the Black Sea region, including Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, to account for much of the increase in production.
