Bitcoin extends decline

Bitcoin extended its decline as activity in cryptocurrency markets weakened and investors remained cautious toward risk assets.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency fell 0.43% over the past 24 hours to $59,145.55.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization declined 0.39% to $2.05 trillion.

Ethereum moved in the opposite direction, rising 0.54% to $1,591.59, while BNB fell 0.38% to $550.33.

The Fear & Greed Index remained at 17 points, indicating continued “extreme fear” among investors.
