Qalibaf says Iran selling oil 20% higher after sanctions relief
Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said Iran was selling its oil 20% more expensively after U.S. sanctions on oil exports were eased.
Qalibaf said the relaxation of restrictions had increased Iran’s oil revenues and allowed the country to expand exports.
He said Iran had exported more than 40 million barrels of oil since restrictions were eased and that oil-related sanctions had been lifted under agreements reached with Washington.
The remarks come as Tehran and Washington continue negotiations and as temporary sanctions relief remains in place for Iran’s energy sector.
