Georgia's almond imports from Azerbaijan rise fivefold
Georgia imported almonds worth $493,000 from Azerbaijan during the January-June period of this year, according to calculations based on data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia, anews informs.
The figure is five times higher than the amount recorded during the same period in 2025.
Azerbaijan ranked fourth among the countries exporting almonds to Georgia in the first half of the year.
Overall, Georgia purchased almonds worth $3 million from foreign markets during the first six months of the year, marking a 27% increase compared with the previous year.
During the reporting period, Georgia imported almonds worth $1.14 million from Türkiye, $628,000 from Spain, $556,000 from the United States, and $95,000 from Belarus.
