Azerbaijan Airlines expands fleet to 30 aircraft

Azerbaijan Airlines expands fleet to 30 aircraft
21.07.2026 13:30

Azerbaijan Airlines, part of AZCON Holding, has taken delivery of a new Airbus A320neo, increasing its fleet to 30 aircraft, the carrier said.

It is the fourth new aircraft added to AZAL’s fleet since the start of 2026. The airline previously received two Airbus A320neo aircraft and one Airbus A321neo.

The new aircraft features an Airspace cabin, larger overhead baggage compartments, high-speed Wi-Fi and individual monitors in business class. AZAL said its new-generation engines would help reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

The airline said it planned to take delivery of a record number of new aircraft by the end of 2026 and expand its fleet to 50 aircraft by 2032.

AZAL ordered 12 Airbus A320neo-family aircraft in 2023 and agreed in 2024 to lease a further six new A320neo and A321neo aircraft, with deliveries beginning in 2026.
