Von der Leyen says she is in Baku to deepen EU-Azerbaijan partnership

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she was in Baku to deepen the partnership between the European Union and Azerbaijan.

In a post on X, she said the EU believes in a peaceful, prosperous and bright future for the South Caucasus.

“We want to help build that future. I am also in Baku to further deepen the EU-Azerbaijan partnership, from trade to transport, energy to the economy,” von der Leyen said.
