Global stock markets ended the latest trading session mostly lower amid cautious investor sentiment, APA-Economics reported.

In the United States, the Dow Jones index slipped 0.03% to 52,305.24 points, the S&P 500 fell 0.22% to 7,483.23 points, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.66% to 26,040.03 points.

European markets also traded mostly lower. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell 0.72%, the FTSE 100 lost 0.18%, the CAC 40 dropped 0.79%, and Spain’s IBEX 35 declined 0.34%. Germany’s DAX, however, rose 0.18%.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 1.84% and China’s CSI 300 declined 1.85%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 1.19%, while TOPIX gained 0.56% and MSCI Asia Pacific edged up 0.02%.

Analysts linked the cautious mood in global markets to concerns over economic growth, expectations that interest rates may remain elevated for longer, and uncertainty over trade policy.
