Bir ecosystem and Khazar University have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at supporting students’ development, preparing them for the evolving demands of the labour market, and strengthening collaboration between university and business.

As part of the partnership, students will have access to internship opportunities, mentorship programmes, and professional development training. These initiatives will enable them to apply the knowledge gained at university in a real working environment, gain valuable hands-on experience, and begin their careers with greater confidence.

Farid Hidayatzade, the official representative of the Bir ecosystem, highlighted the importance of long-term collaboration between universities and businesses in developing professionals who meet the needs of today’s labour market. “We believe that great professionals begin their journey in the classroom and continue to grow in the workplace. That is why we see our cooperation with universities not simply as an internship programme, but as an investment in the professionals of tomorrow. Today, 48 Khazar University graduates are part of the Bir ecosystem, with 14 of them holding leadership positions. This is a strong testament to the university’s ability to nurture talented professionals. I am confident that our partnership will help even more promising young people successfully enter the labour market.”

Rector  of Khazar University Razia Isayeva noted that practical experience is just as important for students today as academic knowledge. She emphasised that partnerships between universities and businesses help young people gain a deeper understanding of the professional world, make more informed career decisions, and fully realise their potential. She also expressed confidence that the partnership with the Bir ecosystem will create new opportunities for students’ professional and career development.

The Bir ecosystem continues to implement initiatives that support the professional growth of young people. It currently partners with 14 higher education institutions, and more than 2 700 students have already participated in various internship programmes. The initiative aims to give young people the opportunity to experience a real working environment, gain practical skills, and build a stronger foundation for their future careers.

Bir is the first fully integrated banking, payments and e-commerce ecosystem of the Caucasus, redefining how people and businesses interact with daily services in Azerbaijan. Launched in 2025 to unite the country’s leading brands, including Birbank, Birmarket e-commerce platform, Milliön payment terminals, and m10 e-wallet app, the Bir ecosystem reaches over 5 million users. Through its extensive ecosystem and strategic partnerships with Trendyol marketplace and BakıKart transportation payment solution, Bir is building the foundation for Azerbaijan’s first and largest digital ecosystem for consumers and businesses.
