Azerbaijan mobilization service sends materials on 88 people to prosecutors
Azerbaijan’s State Service for Mobilization and Conscription has sent materials on 88 people to the Prosecutor General’s Office over alleged corruption and abuse of office.
The service said that in the first six months of 2026, disciplinary and organisational measures were taken against 75 employees over illegal actions and abuse of authority. Of them, 42 were members of management staff. Two employees were discharged on negative grounds.
Materials on 88 people covering 48 cases were sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office for a procedural decision.
The service said it was continuing measures to increase transparency, eliminate factors enabling corruption and improve citizen satisfaction.
It also said that since July 1, 2024, final medical examinations of citizens called up for active military service have been conducted in four fitness categories by the relevant agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The service said digital data exchange between state bodies, electronic cabinets on the MyGov platform and reduced direct contact with citizens were expected to help lower corruption risks.
