Simplex wins another major order from Azerbaijan education ministry unit

The self-financed Capital Construction and Supply Department of Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry has completed a tender for the purchase of machinery and equipment.

According to information published on the unified state procurement portal, the winner of the tender was Simplex CJSC.

The department signed a contract worth 9.766 million manats with the company for the purchase of 244 items, including household, office, musical and video equipment.

Simplex CJSC has also won major procurement contracts from state bodies in previous years, including from the Ministry of Science and Education.

In 2022, the company was declared the winner of eight tenders held by state institutions. Four of them were tenders of the Ministry of Science and Education.

That year, Simplex signed contracts worth a total of 43.781 million manats. Of that amount, 43.322 million manats accounted for contracts with the self-financed Capital Construction and Supply Department under the Ministry of Science and Education.

According to data on the procurement portal, in 2021 Simplex received orders from the Ministry of Science and Education worth 241.673 million manats for “machinery and equipment” and 146.487 million manats for the purchase of sports inventory and other equipment. However, it is also noted that cases of technical errors in entering contract amounts on the portal are possible.

In 2021, Simplex won 24 tenders and competitions. The company’s largest contracts during that period were reportedly signed with the Ministry of Science and Education.

Open sources say the Ministry of Science and Education purchases sports inventory and equipment, machinery and equipment, stationery, household goods, soft inventory, bedding, special clothing and cartridges from Simplex.

Simplex CJSC has been operating since 2015 and specialises in the supply of goods and services. The company’s charter capital is 2,000 manats. Its legal representative is Elmir Tofig Fatullayev.
