Oil nears $77 a barrel

Oil prices climbed towards $77 a barrel as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East continued to support the market.

Brent crude futures traded close to $77 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude hovered around $73. 

Analysts said concerns over the U.S.-Iran conflict and the risk of supply disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz continued to underpin prices.
