ASCO, World Bank discuss offshore wind development in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) and World Bank representatives discussed prospects for developing offshore wind energy in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

The talks focused on the potential use of ASCO’s specialised fleet and maritime infrastructure for offshore wind projects, as well as workforce training and technical capacity building. 

The participants highlighted the importance of cooperation in advancing renewable energy projects and harnessing the Caspian Sea’s offshore wind potential.
