Azerbaijan reduces car imports from Georgia by 45%
In January–June 2026, Georgia exported 2,456 cars, valued at $82.89 million, to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
According to the obtained data, this represents a 45% drop in quantity and a 36% decline in value compared to the same period in 2025.
Consequently, Azerbaijan ranked fourth among countries importing cars from Georgia.
During the first half of the year, Georgia exported 38,759 cars worth $938 million to foreign markets, down 21% in number and 23% in value year-on-year.
Over the course of six months, Georgia exported 10,701 cars worth $412.82 million to Kyrgyzstan, 13,068 cars worth $204.44 million to Kazakhstan, 5,086 cars worth $89.31 million to Iran, and 2,966 cars worth $49.87 million to Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, in 2025, Georgia exported 111,265 cars worth $2.8 billion, of which 7,814 cars worth $213 million were delivered to Azerbaijan.
