Azerbaijan's strategic currency reserves exceed $85.7B
As of July 1, 2026, Azerbaijan's strategic foreign currency reserves amounted to $85.7536 billion.
Report informs that 84.7%, or $72.596 billion, accounted for the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), while 15.3%, or $13.1576 billion, accounted for the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
In the second quarter of this year, the country's foreign currency reserves increased by $580.9 million, or 0.7%. SOFAZ's foreign currency reserves decreased by $919.9 million, or 1.3%, while the CBA's foreign currency reserves increased by $1.5008 billion, or 12.9%.
Over the past year, the country's foreign currency reserves increased by $8.0841 billion, or 10.4%. During the year, SOFAZ's foreign currency reserves grew by $6.0804 billion, or 9.1%, while the CBA's foreign currency reserves rose by $2.0037 billion, or 18%.
