Azerbaijan banks’ loan portfolio rises to 31.8 bln manats

The total loan portfolio of banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 31.821 billion manats in June, up 3% from May, the Central Bank said.

Business loans accounted for 54% of the total, or 17.18 billion manats, rising 4.7% month on month.

Loans to large businesses stood at 9.188 billion manats, followed by microbusinesses at 3.865 billion, medium-sized businesses at 2.362 billion and small businesses at 1.764 billion manats.

Consumer loans made up 31.2% of the total portfolio, while mortgages accounted for 14.8%.
