Netanyahu declined meeting with Zelenskiy in Washington — Haaretz
29.07.2026 17:30

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy during their visits to Washington, Haaretz reported, citing sources.

The newspaper said Zelenskiy’s office had approached Netanyahu’s office to arrange a meeting but received no response.

A Ukrainian source, however, said the initiative had originally come from the Israeli side and that the meeting was cancelled due to a lack of time after Kyiv agreed.

Netanyahu’s office declined to comment. The two leaders last held a full bilateral meeting in September 2023.
