NYMEX natural gas futures edge lower

NYMEX natural gas futures edge lower
04.08.2026 13:00

Natural gas futures posted minor losses during trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

Official market figures show benchmark natural gas contracts for delivery at the Henry Hub hub down by roughly 0.2–0.3%, settling near $2.77 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).

The slight pullback in prices is driven by current U.S. storage inventory levels alongside shifting seasonal demand patterns across power generation markets.
