Global oil prices slide on commodity markets
International crude oil prices declined during trading sessions on global commodity exchanges.
Benchmark Brent crude fell to $79.79 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped to $75.57 per barrel.
Market analysts attribute the downward pressure on crude futures to a weekly increase in U.S. commercial crude inventories by 2.5 million barrels, along with easing supply disruption risks amid diplomatic efforts regarding regional shipping security.
