NYMEX natural gas futures rise 2.6% on September delivery contracts

Natural gas futures turned higher on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) during recent trading sessions.

Natural gas contracts for September 2026 delivery rose 2.63% to $2.73 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).

Market participants attribute the uptick to seasonal demand projections and shifting position layouts across energy commodity desks.
