Azerbaijan’s pension disbursements rise 10% to 4.57 bln manats in Jan-Jul 2026

Total pension disbursements in Azerbaijan reached 4.568 billion AZN in the first seven months of 2026, marking a 10% increase (or 426 million AZN) year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Following a 9.3% statutory indexation adjustment implemented at the beginning of the year, the nationwide average monthly pension climbed by 10% year-on-year to 595 AZN as of August 1, 2026, with the average monthly old-age pension reaching 633 AZN.

Between January and July 2026, 25,000 pensions were granted proactively through the state digital welfare infrastructure. Since the launch of automated e-pension processing in early 2019, more than 203,000 pensions have been registered proactively without requiring manual citizen applications.
