Rain, thunderstorms and hail forecast across Azerbaijan's regions on August 20

Unsettled and rainy weather is expected across several regions of Azerbaijan on Thursday, August 20, while Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will see predominantly dry conditions, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, moderate northwesterly winds will occasionally strengthen during daytime hours. Temperatures will range between 21–24°C at night and 29–33°C during the day, with atmospheric pressure at 758 mm Hg and relative humidity between 50–75%.

While most districts will remain dry through the morning, intermittent showers, localized heavy downpours, lightning, and hail are forecast starting from northern and western areas in the afternoon. Night and morning fog is expected across mountainous passes. Regional temperatures will reach 20–24°C at night and 33–38°C in the afternoon, while mountainous territories will see nighttime lows of 12–17°C and daytime highs of 20–25°C.
