Yeni Klinika Deputy Director Ravil Taghiyev steps down ahead of relocation to US

Ravil Taghiyev, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs at Baku's Yeni Klinika medical center, has resigned from his post of his own accord,  Iqtisadiyyat.az reported.

Taghiyev explained that his departure was driven by his eldest child commencing university studies in Florida and his winning of a US Green Card, prompting a family relocation to the United States. His resignation was accepted by executive management on July 31. He also extended gratitude to the leadership and faculties of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and the Aliyev State Institute for Advanced Medical Training, where he lectured and conducted research.

Taghiyev was the first Azerbaijani scholar admitted to state-sponsored doctoral studies in healthcare management in Turkey. Earlier this summer, he chaired the organizing committee for the 1st International Healthcare Management Congress held in Baku with delegates from 10 nations, and currently supervises 4 academic dissertations.
