Power supply restrictions expected in five Azerbaijani districts and parts of Baku
Temporary power supply restrictions are expected on Aug. 24 in several areas of Azerbaijan’s Tartar, Agdash, Barda and Goranboy districts, as well as in parts of Baku’s Yasamal district.
Azerishiq OJSC said the disruptions are related to scheduled repair and technical work on electricity networks aimed at improving power supply quality and meeting growing demand.
In Tartar, power supply will be restricted from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in parts of the villages of Irevanli and Bayandur as trees touching a 10-kilovolt power line are trimmed.
In Agdash, outages are expected from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in parts of the villages of Abad, Agzibir, Agjagovag, Eymur, Arabshaki, Hushun, Khynakhli, Kotavan, Kukel, Garadeyin, Garaoglan and Piraza due to repair work on the 35-kV Piraza and 10-kV Kukel overhead lines.
In Barda, scheduled restrictions will be imposed from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the villages of Boyuk Gajar, Deymadagyldy, Huseynbeyli, Khan-Khanymli, Katelparag, Gullar, Gurdlar, Piyadalar, Soganverdiler, Shahvaliler, Shirvanli and Ugurbeyli. A new 16-MVA transformer will be installed at the Shirvanli 35/10-kV substation.
In Goranboy, power supply will be restricted from 9:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in parts of Bashirli, Goynuyan and Hazirahmadli villages, and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in parts of Khinali and Garamusalı. The work involves trimming trees along 10-kV overhead lines.
In Baku’s Yasamal district, power supply will be restricted from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on parts of Alesger Alekberov, Huseyn Javid, Eldar Agayev, Abbas Mirza Sharifzadeh, Mirali Seyidov and Nazim Hikmet streets due to repair work at a transformer substation.
