Azerbaijan police solve 96 crimes over two days

Azerbaijan’s police registered 90 crimes and solved six crimes from previous periods on August 22-23, the Interior Ministry’s press service said.

According to the ministry, 84 people suspected of committing crimes were detained during the reporting period.

Police also detained 79 people who were wanted, including 53 people wanted as debtors, and handed them over to the relevant authorities.

Police identified 42 cases involving the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and seven cases involving the discovery and seizure of illegally held weapons and ammunition.
