Bitcoin held steady near the $79,000 mark on Thursday, August 27, consolidating following strong weekly gains across the cryptocurrency market.

According to Reuters, Bitcoin rose 0.55% during morning trading to reach $78,872.51. Investors are closely monitoring Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's scheduled address at the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium for fresh insights into the central bank's upcoming interest rate trajectory.

The cryptocurrency traded above $79,000 in the previous session and briefly climbed past $81,000 on August 25, touching its highest level in more than three months. The rally has been propelled by a softening US dollar and renewed institutional appetite for digital assets.
