Morning Showers to Clear in Baku, Unsettled Conditions in Regions
Occasional rain is forecast across Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on September 1, with chances of locally intense downpours and lightning in scattered areas, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.
Precipitation is expected to taper off by morning, giving way to mostly dry conditions during the daytime. Gusty northwesterly winds will transition to northeasterly winds as the day progresses. Air temperatures in Baku will register 18–20°C at night and 23–26°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will stand at 761 mm Hg with relative humidity between 75% and 85%.
Intermittent rain is also expected across Azerbaijan's provinces, particularly in mountainous and foothill areas where localized torrential rain, lightning, and hail are likely. Patchy fog will form over mountainous terrain overnight and in the early morning amid moderate easterly winds. Temperatures will hover at 18–21°C at night and 25–29°C during the day, cooling in the mountains to 10–15°C at night and 18–22°C by day.
