Rain forecast for Baku and Absheron, snow likely in high mountains on Sept 8
Intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and localized brief downpours are expected across Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on September 8, before gradually tapering off during the day, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.
Gusty northwest winds will ease and shift to the northeast by morning. Temperatures will hover between 18–20°C at night and 22–25°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will reach 764 mm Hg with relative humidity levels of 60–70%.
Across Azerbaijan's regions, brief heavy showers, lightning, and hail are anticipated, with precipitation potentially turning to snow in high-altitude mountain zones before easing by afternoon. Night and morning fog will blanket sections of the highlands, accompanied by intermittent westerly wind gusts. Regional temperatures are projected at 16–20°C overnight and 25–28°C during the daytime, while mountainous areas will see 8–13°C at night and 15–20°C by day.
