Gold and silver futures retreat sharply on New York COMEX

Gold and silver futures dropped across international commodity exchanges, tracking broader shifts in precious metals demand.

On the New York COMEX exchange, December 2026 gold futures dropped 1.48% to settle at $4,342.00 per troy ounce. Concurrently, December silver futures on COMEX declined by 2.12% to trade at $63.55 per ounce.
