Diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan embarks on visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur
A two-day tour of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur has commenced for representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, led and accompanied by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration.
The visiting delegation comprises 150 participants representing 58 countries and 9 international organizations.
During the itinerary, the diplomats will inspect key socio-economic and transport infrastructure initiatives underway in Khankendi, Shusha, Aghdara, and Kalbajar as part of the large-scale reconstruction and revitalization program spearheaded by President Ilham Aliyev. The delegates will also examine the current state of historical and cultural heritage monuments alongside ongoing conservation and restoration efforts.
The mission marks the 22nd visit organized for foreign diplomats to Azerbaijan's liberated territories since 2020.
