Azerbaijani NGO raises landmine threats and missing persons at UN Human Rights Council
Nigar Ramazanova, representing a member organization of the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan, addressed a sideline meeting during the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
In her remarks, Ramazanova drew attention to the ongoing landmine contamination across Azerbaijani territories and raised the critical issue of unaccounted-for missing persons.
She underlined the severe humanitarian consequences of landmine proliferation and stressed that establishing the fate of missing persons is imperative for upholding human rights protections and fostering enduring regional peace.
