Ankara Debunks Disinformation on Turkish Flag Incident inAzerbaijan

Reports alleging an attempt to lower the Turkish flag in Azerbaijan have been officially dismissed as disinformation by the Center for Combating Disinformation under the Directorate of Communications of the Turkish Presidency.

In a statement posted on X, the center clarified that the circulating video footage is archival and noted that Azerbaijani citizens themselves were the first to deliver the strongest reaction against the provocation at the time. Emphasizing that no such current event has occurred, the agency highlighted that re-circulating out-of-context historical footage aims to undermine Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood, urging the public to disregard manipulative falsehoods.
